BIOENERGY
Fiore has made significant investments in bioenergy production.
Biofuels offer the potential for renewable, clean, domestic sources
of fuel that can create new opportunities for America's farmers.
Ethanol, which was practically non-existent 20 years ago, now accounts
for 1.2 percent of the nation's gasoline supply. We believe that
bioenergy is both environmentally responsible and economically viable.
It will certainly be an important part of the answer to critical
problems of declining oil and gas reserves, green house gas production
and global warming. We intend to be part of that solution.
In
the planning stage, Third Coast Biofuels LLC intends to develop,
construct, own and operate a 60-million gallon multi-feedstock cellulosic
ethanol plant in central Wisconsin. The plant is being sited and
designed to utilize feedstocks from the regional cornshed and other
local suppliers of hemicellulose, fruit sugars and vegetable starches.
Fiore is a founding member of this entity.
United
Wisconsin Grain Producers, LLC, Friesland, Wisconsin purchases
18 million bushels of corn annually, delivered by truck from the
local region. The facility produces 50,000,000 gallons of ethanol
each year. Fiore is an investor in this entity.
Best
Energies, Inc. is a leader in the development of clean energy
solutions. Their proprietary technologies are based on renewable
bioresources, directed at the development of a distributed energy
production close to sources of biomass and consumption. Best
Biodiesel, Cashton, Wisconsin., is an 8 million gallons per
year B-100 biodiesel plant. Fiore is an investor in Best Energies
and Best Biodiesel.
